Current Initiatives

A Call 2Peace Foundation

Our present chapter, alongside a world wide Corona virus pandemic, is navigating through moments of deep reflection and creativity, pushed by the fresh winds of solitude in quarantine. It is a chapter of changing strategies, forging new avenues to bring forth our efforts in support of noble causes for the common good in a different manner, through the avenue of the Arts.

Performance venues and gatherings in general have been substituted by stay at home rules. We haven’t been allowed to organize live events and concerts, instead we have focused our efforts into organizing fund raisers, like our social media campaign in support of the Saint George University Hospital from Beirut, Lebanon that got severely affected by the August 4th 2020 explosion at the city harbor.

Optima Strings

The AC2P Foundation in partnership with Optima-Strings made in Germany provided strings for all the musical instruments of the Philokalia (Love of the Beauty of Humanity) Music Institute (also from Lebanon), and established a partnership with Food Cycle LA, a group of volunteers working with organizations throughout Los Angeles to help communities address growing food insecurity in the wake of COVID-19, which allowed us to bring much needed support to the “East Los Angeles Women’s Center” and “The Hope & Heart Project”.

The Climate Music Project

An ongoing collaboration between our AC2P Foundation and The ClimateMusic Project, an organization based in San Francisco dedicated to communicate a sense of urgency about the climate crisis by combining climate science with the emotional power of music, to drive meaningful attention. Two of our core musicians, Scarlet Rivera and Eduardo Del Signore, are composing pieces of music in collaboration with Climate Change Scientists, in support of the ClimateMusic Project efforts. Other enjoyable & efficient collaborations are shared by our Foundation and The Church In Ocean Park, the California Interfaith Power & Light and The Universalist Unitarian Church of Santa Paula.

Malibu Library Speaker Series, May 19, 2022

From The Malibu Times:

“Musicians Federico Ramos and Eduardo Del Signore improvise music during the poetry readings of May 14 at Malibu City Hall’s Civic Theater”

“The summit was part of the Malibu Library Speaker Series and also featured a tap-dancing performance led by Ann Monahan and the Senior Tappers, as well as improvised music played by musicians Eduardo Del Signore, Federico Ramos and Ron Wagner. Ramos, who was the guitarist for the Disney film ‘Coco,’ played alongside Signore and Wagner and said that it was a privilege. ‘I feel like it’s an honor to do anything we can do for the arts supportively,’ Ramos said. ‘To expose other people to the creative processes of some very gifted voices, as we have here today, it’s a thing that should happen more often.'”
